1、 National regulations

The hanging positions of gas meters are high, medium and low. According to the requirements of code for design of urban gas (gb50028-2006) jointly issued by the Ministry of construction and AQSIQ, the installation of gas meters is as follows:

1. The gas meter must be installed in a place with good ventilation conditions and easy to check and repair, and cannot be installed in a narrow and closed space.

2. It is strictly prohibited to install in places where the ambient temperature is higher than 45 ℃.

3. It is strictly prohibited to install in a wet place.

2、 Can the gas meter be changed at will

The answer must be no!

The gas meter needs to be installed uniformly according to the design drawings, and the user cannot change it at will. The change of pipe must meet the following safety conditions: the gas meter can not be installed in a closed manner to prevent the danger of gas accumulation; Watch shall keep a certain distance from wires, water pipes, etc; Various factors such as easy maintenance shall be considered for installation.

According to national regulations, gas pipelines, gas meters, stoves and water heaters cannot be installed in bedrooms, and gas meters cannot be installed in toilets and bathrooms; If you need to change the housing structure and involve the change of pipeline gas facilities, please apply to the gas transformation engineering center, and professionals will design and construct for you.

When moving the gas meter, try to follow the principles of safety first, concise and necessary lines; On this basis, aesthetic and convenient factors are considered; The gas meter of the new house is generally unnecessary to shift, while the location of the gas meter of the second-hand house may be inconvenient, which requires careful inspection and necessary replacement before decoration, so as to increase the convenience of use.

At present, the relevant departments have mandatory regulations on the displacement, modification and installation of gas meters. All kinds of transformation and installation shall not be carried out by the owner without permission, and the home decoration company shall not change it at will under various circumstances. The owner shall install or move it after the approval of professionals from the gas transformation engineering center and other parties.

3、 Precautions for use of gas meter

1. In case of gas leakage or other abnormal phenomena of the gas meter, it shall be reported to the gas company immediately, and it shall not be handled without authorization to avoid danger.

2. It is not allowed to refit the gas pipeline without authorization, move the position of the gas meter, and disassemble or refit the gas meter without permission. If a gas meter is dismantled or refitted without permission, the gas company will be deemed to be in violation of the regulations and be fined.

3. Keep the outside of the gas meter clean and sanitary. The gas meter shall not come into contact with corrosive substances. The oil stain and dust on the surface of the gas meter shall be gently wiped with a wet cloth at any time. It is forbidden to scrub with acid-base and other corrosive liquids or wash with tap water.

4. Articles are forbidden on the gas meter to avoid heavy object collision.

5. When the mechanical parts inside the gas meter have minor faults or the gas meter cannot pass the gas, it is strictly prohibited to knock with a heavy hammer or other things, but it shall be reported to the regional gas management station or gas company in time.
